RV Thirsty Yet? Campfire Cocktail Recipes

The Good Life

You’ve had a long day of camping, and you just finished eating the dinner you cooked up over the campfire. Life is good, and the campfire is blazing. For dessert, it sounds pretty good to mix up some fancy beverage. It will be a fun activity to be the campfire drink specialist, but also a delicious beverage would hit the spot right now.

Here are several of our favorite drink recipes when you’re around the campfire. All of these recipes can be modified to be non-alcoholic drinks as well!

Toasted Marshmallow Shot Glasses

You heard it right. Marshmallows aren’t only good for s’mores. Toast a marshmallow and let it cool. A crater will form in it, which you fill up with a coffee or cream liqueur of your choice. The marshmallow absorbs it fast, so make sure you drink it quickly or it will start leaking. Then eat the soaked marshmallow afterwards! Get the details here. As a nonalcoholic drink, ditch the liqueur and use chocolate milk instead.

Camping Sangria

This drink is road ready. You can easily mix this together the night before you leave, chill it in the fridge, and you’ll be good to go! Simply take a large mason jar, and put some sliced fruit inside. Then, add vodka, a lemon-lime soda, and wine into the mason jar. The next day, your drink will have marinated in fruity goodness! Get the full recipe here. For a nonalcoholic twist, leave out the vodka and wine, and try adding frozen fruit concentrate.

Strawberry Margarita Punch

Margaritas are great, but when you turn it into punch, you will have enough margaritas to go around for a larger crowd! This recipe does call for a food processor, but a blender will do the trick too. Between a bunch of fresh strawberries, frozen lime concentrate, and a little tequila this punch is sure to hit the spot. Bonus: This recipe makes a great kid-friendly punch if you leave out the tequila!

Bloody Mary

What goes well with the bacon you cooked over the campfire? A bloody mary, of course! You can use bloody mary mixes, or you can start from scratch with a recipe like this. Either way, the most fun part about mixing some marys is to put all sorts of food in it. Use a skewer and put cheese, olives, celery, bacon or whatever you want inside your drink!

Frozen Strawberry Lemonade

A chill way to cool off after camping is to make some frozen strawberry lemonade. This refresher is more of a treat, and you can make it an adult alcoholic drink by adding vodka or tequila to the serving after it has been frozen.

Peppermint Hot Chocolate

This recipe will warm you up if it’s getting chilly while you’re camping. You’ll need some hot chocolate, whipped cream and peppermint schnapps. Check out a full recipe here.

Mulled Cider

This one only takes a few ingredients and is definitely worth it. Take cider and heat it up in a large pot with cloves, cinnamon and an orange slice. When you’re ready to serve, have those who want an alcoholic drink pour 2 oz. of whiskey in their mug and top it off with warm cider. Check out this warm and delicious recipe here.

With any of these drinks, you are sure to have a delicious time around the fire. Remember, when you’re camping, you’re on vacation living the Good Life, and sometimes the Good Life requires having a delicious beverage (or two) in hand!
